Mindfulness
Mindfulness is our innate capacity to notice and appreciate each moment as it happens with an openhearted, non-judgmental awareness. In essence, mindfulness allows us to be present for this precious gift of our lives.
In a culture that thrives on multitasking and productivity, it is easy to get caught in a trance, moving through our days on autopilot. Have you ever been driving your car and by the time you got to your destination you realized that you were somewhere else in your mind the entire time? Mindfulness helps us to awaken from this trance. It is the art of paying attention with intention and is developed and refined through the practice of meditation.
At the Yoga Garden our classes and private sessions integrate methods to help you train in mindfulness so that you may live more awake, creative and fulfilling lives.
